I am Senior Teaching Fellow in strategy and economics in the Business School at Durham University where I am also deputy Director of distance learning programmes. I am particularly interested in how elearning might help or hinder the educational experience. Thus far I have a positive perspective on the impact of eLearning but recognise the challenges of working with technology and the fact that many users do not want to or cannot engage with the technology. In part, I see my role as addressing the challenges in eLearning but this blog is concerned with teaching and learning issues in general. In time I hope the blog will create a network of users that have some or all of my interests in common.
